Beulah's Yearling: Medium Worsted/Aran Weight Yarn Blend
Beulah's Yearling: Medium Worsted/Aran Weight Yarn Blend
This yarn is a combination of Beulah’s, one of our purebred Moorit Merino ewe’s yearling fleece, with a gorgeous fleece from a heritage breed Leicester Longwool ewe, named Mary, from Jancek Farm (approx. 30 minutes North of us).
We chose to blend Beulah’s Merino wool (for its softness and her warm neutral color fiber) with Mary’s Leicester Longwool fiber to add strength and luster (shine) to the yarn.
Beulah + Mary’s wool together created a naturally warm neutral colored yarn. Projects I anticipate this yarn being great for include: capsule wardrobe garments such as knitted cardigans and sweaters, socks/slippers, other winterwear items (vests, hats, mittens).
